If you have experienced a spiritual awakening, GOD’S Saving Grace & Mercy and you are enjoying a new life of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, and self-control, you will naturally want to carry that Message, HIS Truth, which has transformed your life, to others. Of course, there will be the usual fears of ridicule or rejection, but the desire to Bless others as you have been Blessed will override such anxieties and compel you to share what you have found with others who are hurting and lost.
I recently spoke to a man who said he was thinking about seeking Freedom from homosexuality, but was not sure he wanted the strain of a wife and children. It seemed like too much work. With my usual lack of tact, I blurted out that in growing and maturing, it is GOD Who delivers one from selfishness and teaches him or her to care for others and delight in serving them. I also had to explain to him that the opposite of homosexuality is not heterosexuality, that the opposite of homosexuality is Righteousness, Saved, Justified, being Free from the bondage of sin!
When we first enter into this Faith walk, all of our focus is on self; getting the Freedom that I want, getting my unmet needs met, stopping my pain, feeling better about myself and so forth. As we get closer to GOD and learn to Love, our focus shifts to others--how can I help them find Freedom, how can I help meet their needs, how can I relieve their pain, how can I help them feel better about themselves and ultimately, how can I help lead them to CHRIST?
Carrying this Message must be your chief delight and greatest challenge. You must seek out those who are finding the truth of there being Freedom from their bondage difficult and offer them encouragement. You must make yourself available for one-on-ones, phone calls, emails, online chats, etc… when one is hurting and serve as an encouragement if someone would like you to do so. You must offer a reasonable amount of your energy, time, and experience to the fellowship that others may find help. You must be ready, at every moment, to tell your testimony to anyone who will be helped by it or enabled to help others with it.
Dear FATHER GOD, Thank YOU for the Freedom from self. Please help me to care for others as I do myself. Thank YOU for every single Blessing YOU so generously pour out amongst each one of us on a momentary basis. Please LORD JESUS, grant that I may be bold for YOU and YOUR Kingdom. Grant that I may have the Courage to offer this powerful testimony that YOU have allowed me to attain, to those who are most in need of hearing it. I Praise & Glorify YOU. I Pray to YOU R Holy & Precious Name. Amen.
