Believe me, I most certainly do understand. But we must develop intimate relationships with others if we are to re-discover who, and what, we were Created and intended to be. I know many will be more than willing to admit to the struggle with gambling, drinking, drugs, even pornography, but when it comes to homosexuality, pedophilia, transgenderism, bestiality and darker areas of our lives we would rather not share.
Are we saying, through our thoughts and actions, that if we dont speak about these things that they will go away? Are we saying that those trapped in any of these sins, or strongholds, is beyond Forgiveness? Are we saying that there are some sins that are worse in GOD'S Eyes?
What about those of us who have been guilty of some of these sins? Or maybe all of them? What about the person who intentionally and purposely tries to infect thousands with the HIV virus? Is that person worthy of Forgiveness? Or the man who molested the little boy? How about the woman who drowned her baby at birth simply because she did not want to take care of a child?
The answer is Absolutely Yes! Anyone, and everyone, is worthy of The LORD'S Forgiveness. We are all Forgiven! Some of us just haven't accepted it yet.
Transparency is an amazing tool that brings relief from the pressures of holding secrets / sins inside of us. Once we speak them, they no longer have power over us. But transparency is a powerful tool for others as well. I have admitted, and spoke on some dark areas of my life, and that very transparency has caused others to confess their own secrets and sins, freeing them from the power those things had on them.
There is no guarantee that you won't be hurt and you still must take appropriate risks when sharing your deepest and darkest secrets and sins, but carefully think through it and know that there truly is Freedom in transparency.
And what are you risking if you don't find the freedom you seek? Your health, your family, your reputation, your spiritual life--list the things your sin can cost you. Set your risks over against each other. Count the cost. Then--do what you ought to do. Let it out. Release it! Take it's power away!
Dear Heavenly FATHER GOD, Thank YOU that YOU truly do understand and are ready to give me Grace to help whenever I need it. Grant me the Grace of Courage to rediscover who YOU Created and Intended me to be, the Courage to Love, and the Courage to live for YOU, YOUR Will, YOUR Way, The Only WAY, YAHWEH! Please LORD, strengthen me to move forward despite my fears and never to turn back until I experience all YOU have promised me. I Thank YOU, I pray to YOU, Praise YOU and I Glorify YOU LORD in the Precious and Mighty Name Above All Names, JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth. Amen
