Below Is The Invitation Letter From Pastor Roberto Miranda,
For Ministry Leads/Pastors/Deacons/Elders/Etc
Please RSVP w/ Dale Atlas - DaleAtlas@gmail.com
Dear Friends in Ministry:
We would like to invite Christian pastors and their leaders, especially youth leaders, partners in ministry, and other concerned believers, to an event featuring the testimony of David Arthur. It will take place on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at 9:30am in the main sanctuary of Congregation Lion of Judah, at 22 Reed Street, Boston 02118.
David Arthur’s testimony is a riveting example of God’s unequaled, transforming grace. He shares his dramatic experience with disarming transparency and humility. David brings clarity to one of the most complex and confusing issues of our day. It is one of the most impacting testimonies I have heard in a long time, and I’ve heard many.
David began to live a life deeply steeped in homosexuality when he was just eight years old, after experiencing molestation around the age of 5-6. From that early age, he experienced persistent sexual abuse from many men, and became more and more deeply engaged in the lgbtq lifestyle.
David began his transgender journey, taking large doses of female hormones, and getting to the point of contemplating an operation to become a transgender woman. He lived for many years as a transgender prostitute named Paige. While in prison, God used a prison guard to communicate the love of The Christ. This initiated a gradual process of conversion with him.
However, once out of prison, David returned to the old lifestyle, until he found himself on hospice, dying of AIDS. He began reading the Bible and had an encounter with the Lord at age 37. He felt ready to die, but God had other plans. God miraculously healed him from AIDS, and has led him to establish “I Belong Amen Ministries”, where he shares his dramatic experience of redemption from homosexuality.
In a moment in our nation’s history when the issue of sexuality, sexual fluidity and human rights is uniquely divisive, believers need to inform and strengthen themselves on what constitutes a solid biblical position concerning this issue.
Does Christian compassion and love require that we affirm homosexuality and transgenderism? Can people dealing with Same Sex Attraction/Gender Dysphoria experience true, lasting transformation? Where are the boundaries between mercy and righteousness? These and similar questions are at the heart of the Christian dilemma in America. We need honest, biblical answers to these kinds of theological concerns. More than ever, the church needs to be equipped to provide a biblical, compassionate answer to this complex question.
We look forward to sharing this very special time with all of you. We would like to know if you are planning to come, although it is not a requirement, it will simply help us to prepare for your attendance.
We will, of course, keep all the relevant COVID stipulations. We do have an additional, comfortable space for live streaming should we max out legal attendance limitations.
We look forward to sharing this very special time with all of you on June 5th. We are expecting to have a compassionate, redemptive event that will enrich us all.
In His Truth,
Pastor Roberto Miranda
